Dr. Venita Lai Williams joined Valley Radiotherapy Associates in 2008 and is a Radiation Oncologist practicing at St. Joseph Hospital of Orange and Children’s Hospital of Orange County.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA and her medical degree from the University of Rochester.  She completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Loma Linda University. 

Her specialty training in Radiation Oncology was at the University of California Irvine’s joint residency program with City of Hope and Long Beach Memorial/Miller Children’s Hospital.  She also completed a short fellowship at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.  Through her training, she gained expertise in image-guided and intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), pediatric radiation oncology, and brachytherapy for breast, gynecologic, and prostate cancers. 

Dr. Williams is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology, Children’s Oncology Group, and the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.  In addition to IMRT, pediatrics, and brachytherapy, areas of special clinical interest include radiotherapy for cancer symptom management and treatment of lymphomas, sarcomas, breast, gynecologic, and central nervous system malignancies.
